Al Najd Agriculture Development Company SAOC is a closed joint stock company established under the supervision of Government in June 2010 and is engaged in the cultivation of Hay (animal food) at Hanfeet Farm which is situated in the Al Najd area Wilayat Thumrait of Dhofar region -150 KMs away from Salalah city. The Company started its production during 2012. The development of Hanfeet Farm is a part of phase 1, out of the 3 phase’s project of Hanfeet, Dawkah and Bin Khouthar Farms.
The main target for the development of these farms is to shift the grass production from Batinah & Salalah regions to Al Najd Area; aiming to produce large quantities of fodder, which the Sultanate has shortage in production and to save the land & water in Batinah & Salalah regions which will help to produce economical crops like fruits & vegetables, which will positively affect the Food Security Program. The Government selected the shareholders which are effected farmers (individual & companies) due to the transfer of grass production from Batinah & Salalah regions and give them the stake in the Company. The vision of the company to become a leading producer of Hay for the animal feed. By leveraging a well thought out business plan, the Company has started producing 2 million bales per annum from 2017 onwards.

To be the buyers’ first choice for forage in the Sultanate of Oman, Al Najd Agriculture Development Company SAOC believes in providing high quality forage for animal holders in Oman and to achieve maximum production under Al Najd climate with the help of research and development, training of Omani staff, advanced irrigation system, good quality agriculture inputs and preserving the natural resource of water of the region on the other side.
Mission:
The Company seeks to expand its range, bringing in more Farms to its dedicated team. It aims to maintain its position as the leading provider of premium quality of Hay to the livestock industry in Oman. This will be accomplished by providing quality product at fair prices while exceeding customer’s expectations at reasonable rates in Oman. The Company is committed into maintain the social responsibility for the protection of the environment and proactive in increasing the value of shareholders’ investment.
